  • All Purpose Router:
If you are looking for a great all purpose CNC Router that can also cut timber and plastics alongside aluminium then we would suggest the XR Router from ART. This machine has many options and accessories to make your CNC jobs so easy.

  • Heavy Duty Milling:
Production cnc machining in thick aluminium plate or high-volume applications is the ideal application for the RT Router/Milling Machine from ART.
Milling results in a smooth machined edge and gives a lot of flexibility with through cutting, pocketing, engraving, chamfering, drilling, thread tapping and much more. The RT Router/Mill is a magnificent machine that blurs the lines between traditional CNC Routers and large format 3 axis milling machines. This machine was designed specifically for extreme applications that require rigidity, high speed, safety and precision.

  • High Definition CNC Plasma:
High Definition CNC Plasma cutting machines are highly capable when cutting aluminium plate. They are cost effective as they only use compressed air as the cutting gas for cutting aluminium. CNC Plasma is ideal when the focus is on speed of cutting. The edge finish is coarser than that produced by routing or milling but may suit applications where full depth cutting at high speed is required.

  • Metal Cutting Fibre Laser:
CNC Fibre Laser machines are now able to cut aluminium sheet and plate very fast and accurately. Laser cutting is appropriate for applications that require through-cutting only as a laser cannot effectively do partial depth cutting. Laser can however do etching/marking of text and graphics for part numbers, fold lines etc. The entry cost of fibre laser has lowered significantly in recent years.

  • Heavy Duty Milling:
Production cnc machining in thick fibreglass can require a high power spindle to allow cutting with large cutters at low RPM to avoid burning the resin. This is an ideal application for the RT Router/Milling Machine from ART.
Milling results in a smooth machined edge and gives a lot of flexibility with through cutting, pocketing, engraving, chamfering, drilling, thread tapping and much more. Highly Recommended for Plastics! – CNC Routers
Plastics and composites are the ideal application for ART CNC Routers. ART Routers are designed from the ground up to provide the fastest cutting possible in these materials.

  • All Purpose Router:
The XR Router from ART is one of the most flexible cnc machines in the world, and yet is surprisingly simple to operate.  The XR Router can mill, drill, engrave and pocket all grades of plastic and composite material. It has an automatic tool changer, and with the optional C Axis can perform sawing and rigid thread tapping. The ideal all-purpose plastics engineering machine.
Click HERE to go to the XR Router page.

  • Heavy-Duty Engineering Router/Mill:
The RT Router/Mill from ART is the biggest and baddest cnc router on the market. It is over-engineered to the extreme to provide high speed, high precision machining in all types of materials. It excels in cutting plastics and composites. The gantry alone weights in excess of 700kg to provide excellent vibration damping and smoothness of cut. The machine is positioned by extremely high power servo motors and supports many accessories to provide years of high up-time machining. Safety is a high priority also with enclosed mechanicals and radar safety devices available to keep workers safe.

Stainless Steel can be cut efficiently by both High Definition Plasma and Fibre Laser

  • High Definition CNC Plasma Cutting:
High definition CNC plasma cutting is a fast and efficient way to cut stainless steel sheet and plate. The use of tightly controlled special gases is what enables the HDP Plasma from ART to do such an excellent job. The entry cost and economy of operation make this a desirable option for stainless cutting.

  • CNC Fibre Laser:
CNC Fibre Laser machines have become more affordable in recent years. This is the optimum way to process thin stainless sheet. Higher power models that are now available are able to cut thicker stainless plate than previously possible with laser. Lasers are fast can produce an excellent cut edge finish, especially in thinner materials.

Plate and sheet steel can be processed in several ways depending on the economy of scale, precision and edge finish required.

  • Air Plasma:
Air Plasma is the most economical way to get into plate and sheet processing. ART exclusively uses the Hypertherm Powermax range of mechanised plasma cutting systems. These use compressed air and electricity to efficiently cut through steel sheet up to around 25mm thick. Air Plasma is great for general fabrication and sheet metal applications. Advantages include low purchase and running costs, simplicity of operation, and high speed cutting, although at a slightly lower level of precision. ART has two ranges of air plasma machines that appeal to different sectors of the industry.
    • The XRP CNC Plasma is an extremely versatile, heavy duty Australian built CNC plasma table with customisable work area and power levels. It inherits many of it’s technical specs from our flagship HDP models. This machine is designed to be a workhorse for decades.

  • High Definition Plasma
The HDP Plasma from ART is a high performance workhorse for the steel fabrication industry. Designed to work for decades, this super heavy duty cnc machine can be optioned for cutting everything from thin sheet to 65mm thick plate steel. This machine offers optional drilling, thread tapping, slot milling head with automatic tool changing, and a 5 axis bevelling head.

  • CNC Fibre Laser
Fibre Laser has traditionally been out of reach financially for many workshops, however the buy-in cost has reduced significantly over the last few years, making this a viable option for some that previously couldn’t consider it as an option. ART has a range of CNC Laser Cutting Machines that can cut steel from 0.5mm all the way to 65mm thick.
